These beautiful stone built villa΄s are located in the area of Metochi, just 1km from Maleme and a 5 minute walk from the sea.  The centre of Chania is just a 10 minute drive.

The hamlet of Metochi was once just a simple farming community embracing 6 or 7 houses tucked away in the countryside 700m from Maleme and 700m from the sea. In recent times many of the old houses have been renovated but the hamlet retains its tranquil aura and sense of community making it a perfect base for a quiet holiday, yet still within easy striking distance of Chania and a choice of lovely beaches strung along the coast.

Upon arrival you are welcomed by Lefteris himself (third generation).  You will be seeing Lefteris on and off as he comes to the villas twice a week to keep the pool clean and the villas are also cleaned twice a week.  Lefteris is also a passionate sea lover and is always available to take guests out for a ride on his boat.

16 km west of Chania, this very fertile corner of Crete, Maleme was famously the setting for the epic Battle of Crete in the last world war. Today the countryside is dominated by sweet smelling orange groves and whispering plantations of tall bamboo which fringe the mile upon mile of almost deserted pebbly beaches, punctuated by the occasional cosmopolitan hotel.

Maleme has a good choice of tavernas, and a fairly large supermarket and although the village has undoubtedly grown in recent years, it still retains a pleasingly unsophisticated air and if you explore a little, you'll soon find the local baker and a real Greek butcher's shop.

For a little more action the bustling village of Platanias is just under 4km away but if you prefer a slower pace of life and a rather more tranquil atmosphere, there are several sleepy villages located just inland.
